Angels’ Mike Trout hit with brutal injury development amid comeback season

With the Los Angeles Angels (30-45) careening toward another wretched season, a high-level season by Mike Trout was one of the few things fans could look forward to during the rest of 2026. Well, people may have to direct their attention elsewhere to find a bright side in Halos baseball. The future Hall of Fame center fielder is going on the injured list with a hamstring issue, per The Athletic’s Sam Blum.

Trout is in the midst of an eight-game hitting streak and quietly has 17 home runs with a .394 on-base percentage, .472 slugging percentage and .866 OPS this season. Former top-10 overall draft pick Christian Moore is being recalled from Triple-A Salt Lake following this disappointing news.
