Jalen Brunson takes to LinkedIn to talk Knicks’ 2026 NBA Championship

As the New York Knicks celebrated their first NBA championship in 53 years with a parade through Manhattan on Thursday, Finals MVP Jalen Brunson also took time to reflect on the historic achievement in a heartfelt post on LinkedIn.

Brunson’s message was shared by ClutchPoints Knicks reporter Kris Pursiainen on X, formerly known as Twitter, who noted that the Knicks star has previously been involved in managing his own LinkedIn account.

In the message, Brunson reflected on what winning a championship with the Knicks meant to him after helping deliver the franchise’s first title since 1973.

“Winning an NBA Championship with the New York Knicks is everything I ever dreamed of. The fans, the city, this organization… This is why I came to New York.”

Brunson also praised his teammates for maintaining belief throughout the season and postseason.

“I’m so proud of this team. No matter the situation, we never stopped believing in each other or lost sight of our goal.”

The All-Star guard emphasized perseverance and self-belief, themes that have become synonymous with his journey from a second-round draft pick to NBA champion and Finals MVP.

“With enough work and enough belief, your dreams are possible and you can overcome any obstacle. Whatever it is in life, believe that you belong.”

“People might disagree but let that strengthen your belief because with hard work, preparation, and the right mindset, anything is possible.”

Brunson’s words mirrored the resilience displayed by the Knicks throughout their championship run. New York overcame multiple playoff challenges before defeating Victor Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs in five games to capture the Larry O’Brien Trophy.

The 29-year-old also thanked the city and fan base that embraced him after he signed with the organization in 2022.

“I can’t wait to celebrate with my family, my teammates, the city of New York, and everyone who’s been here from day one. We don’t win this championship without you!”

Beyond basketball, Brunson used the platform to highlight the work of the Second Round Foundation, an organization dedicated to helping young people pursue opportunities regardless of their circumstances.

“I also look forward to continuing to support other people’s dreams through my work with the Second Round Foundation, where our mission is helping young people determine their own success no matter where they come from.”

“It is important to me to support the under-resourced, under-represented, and under-estimated, and to ensure that they have the tools, guidance, and belief they need to achieve their dreams.”

Brunson closed the message by thanking New York and reiterating a phrase that has become central to his personal philosophy.

“Thank you, New York. I am forever grateful. And always remember… The Magic is in the Work.”

Just days after leading the Knicks to a championship and earning Finals MVP honors, Brunson’s message offered a glimpse into the mindset that helped transform both his career and the franchise’s fortunes.
