Lakers star Luka Doncic’s description of LeBron James’ newest obsession is truly ‘beautiful’

The biggest question of the summer for the Los Angeles Lakers is what the future holds for LeBron James. James is set to hit free agency this year, with some speculating that he might opt to take his talents to another squad to finish out his legendary career.

Recently, Lakers star Luka Doncic detailed his thoughts on James’ newest offseason obsession: playing golf.

“We played once or twice. Right now a bit harder cause we ain’t close, but… Like you’re in nature 4 hours, sometimes even 8 hours. I play 36 holes, which they say is not smart, but I still play it… You’re in nature, no phone, peace. Something most beautiful,” said Doncic, per 24ur.com, via Luka Updates on X, formerly Twitter.

James has taken to social media to post numerous videos and pictures of himself playing the sport, with mixed results, and has also taken to the golf course recently with some members of the 2016 Cleveland Cavaliers championship team as they celebrate the ten-year anniversary of their NBA Finals win over the Golden State Warriors.

Meanwhile, the Lakers have clearly pivoted from James to Doncic as the key building block of their franchsie moving forward, and they’ll hope to add a more balanced roster around the heliocentric star this offseason, one with more shooting, perimeter defense, and frontcourt depth.

Some have opined that the only way to do this would be for James to either leave or come back on a significantly cheaper contract, and that’s not to mention the concerns that some pundits have about Los Angeles potentially shelling out hundreds of millions of dollars to Austin Reaves.

In any case, many questions will be answered over the next few weeks.
