AEW World Champion MJF has achieved several accomplishments even before reaching the age of 30. From being a multi-time champion in AEW to becoming the hot topic of a WWE-AEW bidding war, MJF has even starred in Hollywood movies.
Last year, in Jul. 2025, MJF starred in Netflix’s Happy Gilmore 2 with Adam Sandler, Eminem, Becky Lynch, and several other top-drawing Hollywood actors. In the film, Maxwell Jacob Friedman, aka MJF, played Happy Gilmore’s (played by Adam Sandler) son, Gordie Gilmore.
On Sunday, Jun. 21, 2026, on the occasion of Father’s Day, MJF wished Sandler. Sharing a picture from the set of the film with the entire cast, MJF simply shared the message, “Happy Father’s Day.”
Apart from Happy Gilmore 2, MJF has also starred in The Iron Claw, and two upcoming films, Violent Night 2 and Floaters.

AEW’s MJF opens up on getting star struck with Eminem on the sets of Happy Gilmore 2
Earlier this year during an interview with Chris Van Vliet, MJF opened up about getting star-struck with Eminem on the sets of Happy Gilmore 2. “I did beat the sh*t out of Eminem, yeah. Marshall Mathers, he rolls deep. He showed up on that movie set with a big crew, probably 10-15 dudes, and they were all easily as big as Luchasaurus. It’s like massive human beings, and I get it because he’s seen some sh*t,” Friedman continued. “So I’d imagine it’s no different than when a wrestling fan might see me out and about, being next to who is arguably the greatest rapper of all time was one of the only times in my life where I was star struck was that moment.”
