A video from a woman on Instagram has hit New York Jets quarterback Geno Smith with allegations of domestic abuse, with others having to do with his child, Seven.
The woman, Kristen, posted a lengthy video on her Instagram Stories. It shows Smith on the phone after Kristen called the police. He allegedly “attacked” her outside. She explained the situation and context over the video, writing, “Today is the DAY! GENO SMITH beat my a$$ cause he HATES taking care of his special needs kid and can’t be left alone with him because he’d rather watch s*x online and play Call of Duty.”

In a follow-up post on her Instagram Stories, Kristen claimed that Smith wouldn’t provide home security footage to the police to prove his innocence.
“One thing you guys aren’t gonna do is bash me on this internet and call [me] a liar,” she wrote. “People who know me KNOW! Geno would NOT provide home security footage to the police. How about you guys ask him to release the footage?
“NOT JUST THE DOORBELL CAMERA. ALL OF IT. I’ll wait…” she added.
Geno Smith’s mom got involved in new posts from his accuser
Kristen then clarified that the child she named in the original post isn’t hers. She is “supportive,” but then shared a screenshot of text messages with Smith’s mom, who accused her of “not taking care of him.”
“You don’t take care of Seven. You send money like you sponsor a child in Africa and don’t check on him,” Smith’s mother wrote. “You know absolutely nothing about him or his day to day life. What doctor in Texas are you having sign off on things? You should have had all of this done before he even got there. You’ve known for months and waited until the last minute. Shows how much you care about his needs.
“It’s negligent,” Smith’s mother added in a second text.
Her last post, as of the time of this writing, shows Smith in her car. Kristen alleges that she dropped off his child and tried to leave. However, Smith followed her outside, “attacked” her, and “took my purse/keys” so she couldn’t leave.
Smith has yet to comment on the matter. It remains to be seen if/when he will respond to the allegations. He is heading into his second stint with the Jets after being traded by the Las Vegas Raiders. Previously, he played four years for them from 2013 to 2016.
