Warriors rumors: The player Dubs won’t pass on if he falls to No. 11 in 2026 NBA Draft

The Golden State Warriors are currently gearing up for the 2026 NBA Draft, where they have the number 11 overall pick. The Warriors are looking for avenues this summer to improve their team after a second play-in loss in the last three years this past spring.

Recently, ClutchPoints NBA insider Brett Siegel broke down one player whom the Warriors have immense interest in at number 11: Arizona Wildcats guard Brayden Burries.

“If he is available for the Warriors with the 11th pick, it is hard to envision a scenario where they would pass on him,” reported Siegel.

“Burries is viewed as the best do-it-all guard prospect who is comfortable playing on or off the ball, especially when it comes to his spot-up 3-point shooting,” he added.

Burries provides the kind of versatility and playmaking that would allow him to play alongside Stephen Curry if need be, although it’s unlikely he would be a starter on day one for Golden State. Instead, he would join a pipeline of young talent that the Warriors have been trying and failing to develop while simultaneously attempting to reinvigorate their dynasty for the last several years now.

Burries led Arizona in scoring but figures to be more of a do-it-all prospect at the NBA level, and the level of stability he could provide the team on offense might be too much for general manager Mike Dunleavy and company to pass up if he were indeed to drop to number 11.

Some have floated the idea of the Warriors trading that draft pick in hopes of landing a win-now player, although time is running out for such a move to be made.

In any case, the NBA Draft is slated to get underway on Tuesday from Brooklyn.
