Tyrese Haliburton saves the day for Fever vs. Mercury

The Indiana Pacers may be preparing for the NBA off-season, but star guard Tyrese Haliburton continues to stay active in the Indianapolis community and at Fever games.

Heck, he even helped both teams out in the first quarter of Monday night’s game between the Fever and Mercury.

Just one minute and 38 seconds into the contest, the ball got stuck behind the backboard, and both teams struggled to get the ball down. That’s when Haliburton, who sits behind the basket closest to the Fever bench, came to the rescue.

Haliburton quickly stepped up, took the floor mop from the ball boy, and help get the ball down.

Unfortunately, that didn’t do much for the fever that they went out to be scored 19-6 in the opening period. But then things opened up for them.

The fever has scored the mercury 35-22 in the second quarter and then opened up the third quarter on a 27-9 run take a 66-50 lead late in the third quarter. Caitlin Clark recorded 18 points while Kelsey Mitchell added 17 points for the fever.

The Mercury, meanwhile, have struggled with just Kahleah Copper and Alyssa Thomas in double-figure scoring.

The Indiana Pacers, meanwhile, or without a draft pick in the 2026 NBA Draft on Tuesday night. That pic was traded to the LA Clippers and protected top four, but fell to fifth during the NBA draft lottery back in May.

The biggest moves of Pacers will be the return of Tyrese Haliburton and the addition of Ivica Zubac at starting center in the 2026–27 season.
