“I’m beyond happy to share that JALEN PLAYS IT ALL, written by me and illustrated by the incredible [Neely Daggett], will be released (next year) by Feiwel & Friends,” he wrote. “This children’s book is a story about discovering that success doesn’t happen overnight. There are mistakes, setbacks, and moments when giving up may feel easier than pushing forward.

“And while basketball was always at the center of my journey, every sport I played helped build the habits, character, and work ethic that made me who I am,” he continued.

Jalen Plays It All is available to pre-order now from all major booksellers. Macmillan Publishers is publishing his debut book. It will come out on Aug. 3, 2027, just before the 2027-28 NBA season begins.

The timing of the announcement couldn’t be better. The Knicks are just over a week removed from winning the franchise’s first championship in 53 years.

Plus, Brunson’s popularity is at an all-time high, given his performance in the NBA Finals. He was named NBA Finals MVP after his 45-point performance in Game 5, which solidified New York’s victory.

He also averaged 32.6 points per game in the five-game series. Brunson is the Knicks’ captain, and he is coming off a regular season during which he averaged 26 points per game.

The 2025-26 season was a big success for Brunson. He was named to his third consecutive NBA All-Star team and received All-NBA Second Team honors for the third year in a row.
