Exclusive: Jackass star Steve-O praises Logan Paul, dishes odds of WWE return

Long before the “Maverick” Logan Paul took over WWE, Jackass star Steve-O famously took on Umaga in a match on Monday Night RAW in 2006, and he doesn’t wish to get back in the ring again.

During his time doing Jackass movies, Steve-O has done it all, from getting a colonoscopy from a robot to having a fishhook pierced through his cheek. In professional wrestling, wrestlers do similar extreme stunts, from using pizza cutters to jumping from tall heights. Does Steve-O look down at professional wrestlers’ work, whose stunts take place in a controlled environment?

“Oh no, I don’t view any of the wrestling antics as child’s play,” Steve-O told ClutchPoints. “I mean, those guys are gnarly, man. And I think that increasingly over the years, the bar just gets higher and higher for the acrobatic feats.”

He then praised Paul, who initially joined WWE as a special attraction part-timer. Now, he’s a full-fledged member of the roster, and he’s a member of The Vision faction.

“I’m so impressed by Logan Paul, the way he entered the WWE space,” the Jackass star raved. “He’s not getting any participation awards, you know? He’s literally flying and crashing and flipping. I’m blown away by those guys.”

Ultimately, though, Steve-O isn’t a huge WWE fan. He is “obsessed” with UFC, though. While he respects WWE and all professional wrestlers, “I’m just more drawn to the UFC.”

Will Jackass star Steve-O return to WWE for another match with Johnny Knoxville?

Steve-O’s Jackass co-star, Johnny Knoxville, previously feuded with Sami Zayn in WWE. It led to a ridiculously fun over-the-top match at WrestleMania 39 that was full of Jackass antics.

Given his respect for Paul and his relationship with Knoxville, would Steve-O consider a return to the ring? Steve-O and Knoxville taking on Paul and another opponent (perhaps Zayn) could make for a marquee match. However, Steve-O seems content with his last match nearly 20 years ago, and he doesn’t want to ruin its legacy.

“You’re likely aware of my featured match on Monday Night RAW where I went up against Umaga with Chris Pontius,” he said. “That’s a bar that I don’t wanna mess with, man. I don’t want to try and outdo that.”

Plus, a health and wellness buff, Steve-O doesn’t want to do more harm to his body. He’s already done making Jackass movies, with Best and Last serving as the franchise’s final installment, and even Steve-O acknowledged, “I gotta be a little careful with my body at this point.”

Knoxville previously told ClutchPoints that he wasn’t done with Zayn in 2024, saying, “He’s not a good guy. He will be revealed in time. I’d love to have the opportunity to smash his face in.”

He’s not wrong, as Zayn has slowly undergone a heel turn during his feud with Cody Rhodes. Zayn will take on Rhodes and Gunther for the Undisputed WWE Championship at Night of Champions on June 27.
