Bucks rumors: NBA Draft target drops intriguing hint about possible pick after Giannis Antetokounmpo trade

As part of the Giannis Antetokounmpo blockbuster trade on Monday, the Milwaukee Bucks acquired another pick lottery pick in the upcoming NBA Draft. The Bucks originally held the No. 1 overall pick, but they also have the No. 10 overall pick as well via their trade with the Heat. And it appears as if they have a target when they’re on the clock in the late lottery.

The Bucks reportedly have interest in using either the No. 10 or No. 13 pick to draft Alabama’s Labaron Philon Jr., as per NBA insider Jake L. Fischer, with the No. 13 pick the being the most likely option if the Bucks are indeed keen on Philon.

“Philon told me that the Bucks were the one team he worked out for multiple times, and I’ve heard from multiple sources with knowledge of the Bucks’ thinking that they are quite high on the Alabama point guard,” Fischer reports. “My sense is that Philon should be in play at No. 13, so that could well open up a different target for Milwaukee at No. 10.

And this isn’t the first time that the Bucks have been linked to Philon in the NBA Draft. In ClutchPoints’ latest mock draft, NBA insider Brett Siegel mentioned the No. 13 pick to the Bucks as being the highest that Philon could be selected. The former Alabama star has a wide range of where he’s been projected to be taken, and Siegel has him not falling past No. 21 and the Detroit Pistons.

The Bucks are armed with their first lottery picks, post Giannis Antetokounmpo trade, so there is some significance and importance here.
