Bulls fans send mix messages about the drafting of Dailyn Swain

The Chicago Bulls scored big during the 2026 NBA Draft on Tuesday at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. Obviously, they lucked out by drafting North Carolina forward Caleb Wilson as the No.4 pick.

Then, they got the No.15 pick in Texas guard/forward Dailyn Swain. While fans are ecstatic about Wilson for his generational prowess, they are merely shrugging their shoulders at Swain.

“I know absolutely nothing about him but I fw it” @ChiFanJustin posted on X, formerly Twitter.

Another fan said that they will take him and hope for the best.

“We’ll take it. I’m not mad at it. Welcome to Chicago!” @xPGelatox posted.

That being said, some fans were upset about passing up on Cameron Carr.

“Why tf we didn’t get Carr!!!” @HEZIHIM23 posted on X, formerly Twitter. Another fan expects Swain to turn into a high-caliber player, like Jalen Johnson.

“He better become Jalen Johnson level, we really wanted Cameron Carr” @OP_10122 posted.

Carr had been rumored to be on the Bulls’ radar along with the Dallas Mavericks. Ultimately, Carr was drafted by the Los Angeles Lakers as the No.24 pick.

Swain played one year at Texas, averaging 17.3 points and 7.5 rebounds per game. Additionally, he shot 54.2% from the field and 81.5% from the free-throw line. He is known for being a playmaker and a relentless rebounder.

The Bulls are undergoing a period of restructuring with a new executive, a new coach, and money to spend on free agents and trades. Overall, Chicago can feel really good about the Draft in more ways than one.
