Darryn Peterson wasted little time setting high expectations after becoming the Utah Jazz’s No. 2 overall pick in the 2026 NBA Draft.
Peterson, a one-and-done Kansas standout and one of the top prospects in the 2026 NBA Draft, outlined his goals for his first NBA season Tuesday night, emphasizing durability, team success and championship aspirations.
Underdog NBA shared Peterson’s comments on X, formerly Twitter, shortly after he addressed reporters following his selection at Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
“Play all 82 games, coming off the year I had at Kansas. … Make the playoffs. Try and get a ring.”
