Does Knicks’ Jalen Brunson have anything more to say about ‘F**k Wemby’ roast?

After he was caught yelling “f**k Wemby” after winning the NBA Finals, New York Knicks star Jalen Brunson has finally been asked about the viral moment.

Speaking to New York magazine, Brunson declined to comment on the viral moment, pleading the fifth. Perhaps someday he will address his feud with Victor Wembanyama.

It will be interesting to watch Brunson and Wembanyama interact the next time their teams play in 2026. Surely, Wemby will be extra motivated after losing his first NBA Finals.

When did Knicks’ Jalen Brunson yell “f**k Wemby”?

A video surfaced after the 2026 NBA Finals of Brunson celebrating the win. He toasted by saying, “f**k Wemby,” and others around him joined.

Perhaps he was still upset by Wemby’s antics throughout the series. The San Antonio Spurs made a concerted effort to rough up Brunson. Wembanyama was especially physical with him, famously shoving Brunson to the ground by his head. He also impeded his landing zone on a three-point shot that was not called a foul.

Despite Wemby’s antics, the Knicks were able to overcome the Spurs in the NBA Finals. They won the series in five games, winning all three games in San Antonio on the road.

Brunson was named Finals MVP for his performance. His Game 5 stats put him over the top, as he scored 45 points while making more than half of his shots.

The Knicks took a commanding 2-0 lead in the series after winning the first two games in San Antonio. They then lost Game 3 before staging an epic 29-point comeback in Game 4. New York closed out the series in Game 5.

Brunson has been with the Knicks for four years. He has led them to the postseason in all four seasons. In 2025, they reached the Eastern Conference Finals, losing to the Indiana Pacers. One year later, they have won it all, and Brunson has disproved his critics.
