As the debate continues between Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, though many say the latter is easily the better player all-time, the conversation will never die out. With Ronaldo making his presence in the World Cup in the 5-0 win over Uzbekistan, scoring two goals in the process, he would be asked a question about Messi that set him off the edge.
According to Instant Foot on X, formerly Twitter, a reporter was going to ask a question before Ronaldo interrupted, as the journalist started by mentioning the three goals that Messi scored against Algeria on June 16. While Messi also had two goals against Austria on Monday, any question regarding Messi was going to get shut down by Ronaldo, who even brought up France star Kylian Mbappe in the process.
“Lionel Messi scored a hat-trick…,” the journalist said.
“I couldn’t care less about the others…Kylian Mbappé also scored a goal,” Ronaldo said in retort.
