With the 40th pick in the 2026 NBA Draft, the Boston Celtics selected forward Dillon Mitchell out of St. John’s.
Mitchell averaged 8.3 points and 7.0 rebounds while shooting 55.9 percent from the floor in 37 games for the Red Storm. The 6-foot-8, 205-pounder is a strong finisher and lob threat who can also make an impact on the defensive end. His jump shot is a work in progress.
