The Lakers acquired a second-round pick in the 2026 NBA Draft but sent it back out before the night ended.
They acquired the No. 56 pick from the Bulls before rerouting the pick to the Mavericks.
The Mavericks selected Russian guard Vsevolod Ishchenko with the pick after sending the Lakers cash in the trade.
The Bulls sent the Lakers the No. 56 pick Wednesday for cash an hour before the second round started.
The Lakers also used cash to trade the No. 25 pick to the Knicks for the No. 24 pick, which they used to draft Baylor wing Cameron Carr.

After sending $3.25 million to the Timberwolves in the seven-team trade that landed them the draft rights to 2025 second-round pick Adou Thiero, the No. 36 pick in last year’s draft, the Lakers had $4.71 million left in cash considerations to send in trades during the 2025-26 league year.
The Lakers also sent the Bulls $2.5 million in cash to move up in the second round of the draft last June before making a second deal in the aforementioned seven-team deal to acquire Thiero.
The cash limit to be sent/received will reset to $8.5 million once the 2026-27 league year starts July 1.
