After turning in an error-filled effort against the Chicago Cubs so frustrating that even ESPN MLB Insider Jeff Passan was dunking on them on social media, the New York Mets have decided to make a trade, sending pitcher David Peterson to the NL Central.
The catch? Peterson is heading to the Cubs, so he won’t have to travel far from where he played earlier in the day, as reported, ironically enough, by Passan.
“Trade news: The Chicago Cubs are acquiring left-hander David Peterson from the New York Mets, sources tell ESPN,” Passan wrote.
This is a developing story.
