After 30 years of marriage, Big Baller Brand founder LaVar Ball is getting divorced from his wife, Tina, as the father of Lonzo Ball revealed during a recent livestream with N3on.
During the stream, LaVar claimed Tina “decided to go her own way.” He doesn’t hold any hard feelings, claiming he’s already found a new love interest.

“But she want to go do something else, that’s fine with me. We had our run,” he conceded. “So even though she had the stroke, and [is] getting older, she was always beautiful in my eyes until you say, ‘I want to go do something else.’ Now you’re not as beautiful to me again.
“The fact that if you decide to go this way, I’m going to go that way, that’s fine. It is what it is, man. And like I said, anytime you can find somebody you can stay in love with for a long time or for one day or whatever, if you can witness that love, that’s good. I had that with her. And I found somebody else, but it is what it is,” he added.
When did LaVar and Tina Ball get divorced?
Lavar didn’t explain the reason for the divorce. It sounds like Tina just wanted to go into a new direction in her life. He seemingly respected her decision, and he appears to have moved on.
The two met at Cal State Los Angeles. They would get married in 1997, and they had three sons together: Lonzo, LiAngelo, and LaMelo. While Lonzo and LiAngelo are not on teams, LaMelo is a star player on the Charlotte Hornets.
The Balls were together through thick and thin over three decades. Tina suffered a stroke in 2017 and has been dealing with aphasia since. Lavar had his right foot amputated in February 2025.
