Many have gone after former WWE star Ridge Holland because he caused Big E’s career-ending neck injury, but the former New Day member doesn’t want fans to do that.
During an interview with Chris Van Vliet, Big E claimed that he wants the criticism of Holland to “end” as some fans have gone “too far” when criticizing him.
Big E on the hate Ridge Holland has received for injuring him
“I really feel for him and his family. I truly hope he’s in a better place. I hope that all comes to an end bc a lot of people crossed the line and went too far.”

Would Big E ever return to WWE after career-ending injury?

In the same interview, Big E once again confirmed that he isn’t going to return to the ring. Even if he was medically cleared, it doesn’t appear he is willing to take the “gamble,” especially because he’s about to get married.
“I’m 40 right now. There’s so many other things in my life that I’m excited about that I want to do. I’m engaged. I’m about to get married in a few months. I can’t fathom telling Kristen I’m gonna roll the dice with my health and my life again,” he explained. “I can’t do that to her.
“To finally get to this point where I found my partner, who I want to do the rest of my life with, someone I adore. We have so much fun together. The cliché of my best friend can be a cliché for a lot of people, [but] it’s real for us. The idea of so many things in my career I’m excited to do, but if that all goes away, if someone says, ‘Nope, we don’t want to see your face anymore, we’re done with you.’ I will be so content just to be home with my woman and enjoy life,” he added.
Ultimately, it sounds like Big E has accepted where he is in life. While he’s “so grateful” for everything WWE has given him, he wants to move on.
