UFC 6 Review Scores are starting to pop up now that the game’s been out for some time. The latest Ultimate Fighting Championship game from EA Vancouver brings multiple changes to the gameplay, modes, and realism, all in an effort to improve the experience. EA Sports UFC 6 Review Scores – 81 on Metacritic
Based on 35 aggregated reviews (9 on Xbox, 25 on Playstation 5), UFC 6 earned an average score of 81 on Metacritic. On Playstation, 24 reviews were positive, with 2 being mixed and zero negative reviews. All nine of the Xbox Series X reviews were positive.
UFC 6 was released for both Playstation 5 and Xbox Series X on June 19th, 2026. The previous entry, UFC 5, released back in 2023.
Playstation Universe gave the game an 8.5/10, saying the game “definitely feels like championship material, though it’s a few notches below an all-time great”. The reviewer particularly enjoyed the Hall of Legends as well as the new Flow State gameplay mechanics. While they felt that the Legacy Mode story was “light” they still found it enjoyable. However, they noted that animations looked a bit too similar to older titles.
Xbox Achievements gave the game an 8.5/10 Review Score. The reviewer stated that “while UFC 6 doesn’t necessarily reinvent the Octagon, it does deliver a complete and authentic fight experience and most accomplished entry yet”. Overall, they enjoyed the visuals, gameplay and audio. However, they felt that Career Mode as a whole is “starting to wear thin”.
IGN gave UFC 6 an 8/10 review score. In their review, they enjoyed the Hall of Legends and The Legacy Game modes. And although they weren’t crazy for the new Flow State and Gym features, the two previously mentioned modes “more than redeem it”. The reviewer stated that “the care and attention” given to these modes “helps it reach a satisfying end that any MMA fan should be proud of”.
Guardian gave the game an 8/10, calling it “the best version yet of EA’s fight-sim series”. They enjoyed the new Legacy Game Mode, visuals, and gameplay. However, they noted that “micromanaging” fighters can feel tedious, but the pros outweigh the cons.
GamingBolt gave UFC 6 an 8/10 Review Score. The reviewer said that the game has “got the potential to be the undisputed champion, but it’s not quite there yet”. They liked the Legacy, Career, and Hall of Legends mode. However, they were not crazy for the Flow State mechanic, as well as a “shaky” stamina management system.
COGConnected gave the game an 8/10, calling it “the best game this franchise has delivered in a long time”. Overall, they liked the game’s visuals, physics, and soundtrack. However, they noted that career mode can get boring and that character customization felt lacking in some areas. They also mentioned minor technical issues, but these may be resolved in a future patch.
Hardcore Gamer also gave UFC 6 an 8/10 Review Score. Overall, the reviewer feels that the game “improves on the UFC experience over its predecessor and boasts everything the fanbase could ask for”. They liked the new Hall of Legends mode as well as the technical improvements to gameplay. However, they noted the game’s steep learning curve, which may turn away new players.

Overall, it seems EA UFC 6 brings another solid experience to the franchise. Most critics seem relatively pleased with the game, calling it another worthy addition to the series. Some reviewers even believe this is the best game the series has to offer.
In terms of the Pros, UFC 6 offers a variety of modes that all offer a good amount of content. Whether you play Career, Hall of Legends, or The Legacy, there’s plenty for players to dive into. Furthermore, a lot of critics seem to like the visuals, soundtrack, and general gameplay mechanics.
However, UFC 6 is not without its flaws. The Flow State system seems to be the most heavily criticized aspect of the game. Furthermore, some of the reviews have noted that gameplay in certain ways feels awkward (i.e. stamina management, stiff movements, etc.). Additionally, not everyone may like the story in Legacy Mode.
But if you enjoyed UFC 5, it seems like the latest installment shares many similarities. Overall, it seems the core gameplay and variety of modes makes this a UFC game worth checking out.
