Baltimore Orioles infielder Jackson Holliday is currently dealing with groin tightness. Injuries have been a concern for Holliday this season. Overall, the Orioles have dealt with a plethora of injuries throughout the season. Holliday, though, could return soon. According to MLB.com, Holliday could “potentially” return to the lineup on Friday against the Washington Nationals.
Holliday, 22, has struggled across 30 games played during the 2026 campaign. The infielder is hitting just .198/.283/.384 during that span. Nevertheless, he was once a top prospect for a reason. At only 22 years old, the O’s still believe Holliday can become a star in the big leagues.
Staying on the field is now the goal for Holliday. It is difficult to find a consistent rhythm at the plate when you are in and out of the lineup due to injuries. Holliday is certainly hoping to avoid further injury concerns this year once he returns to the lineup.
Baltimore is currently 38-44 overall so far in 2026. The ball club is in fourth place in the American League East standings. They are 11.5 games behind the New York Yankees for first place in the division.
