Blues rumors: Colton Parayko, Robert Thomas get huge trade updates ahead of NHL Draft

The St. Louis Blues have already traded forward Jordan Kyrou to the Washington Capitals, and they have been rumored to be considering a multitude of other moves involving players who were rumored to potentially be on the move at the Trade Deadline back in March.

But for now, it appears as though Blues general manager Doug Armstrong is planning on keeping two of his more premium assets around. According to NHL Insider Frank Seravalli, the Blues have informed other teams that neither Robert Thomas nor Colton Parayko is available for trade.

“FWIW, one player coming off the Trade Targets board today is Colton Parayko,” Seravalli wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter. “Stlblues have told inquiring teams Parayko is unavailable, same answer for Robert Thomas. Parayko has full no-trade protection through June 30, 2028.”

Thomas was one of the more talked-about players in the days and weeks leading up to the NHL Trade Deadline, but he wasn’t moved. The Blues, who came within seconds of upsetting the Presidents’ Trophy-winning Winnipeg Jets in the Western Conference Final in 2025, missed the postseason this year.

Meanwhile, Thomas revealed that the Blues never approached him about waiving his no-trade clause and that he has no desire to be moved.

“No, no, I was never asked anything from the Blues,” said Thomas via Yahoo Sports. “There was everything that I heard was coming from the insiders and different things online. I just want to be clear: I was never asked, and nor did I ever ask for a trade.”

This past season, Thomas scored 25 goals with 39 assists, while Parayko scored four goals with 14 assists.
