Rashad McCants is looking back at his relationship with Khloé Kardashian.
In the June 23 episode of the TFU podcast, the former Minnesota Timberwolves star shared that he had an “agreement” with Khloé rather than a regular relationship. As he explained on the podcast, while they were dating, he changed his Facebook relationship status to “it’s complicated” rather than “in a relationship.” That prompted Khloé to ask why he decided to change his relationship status to that.
“It’s complicated… We have an agreement. This is not, ‘I like you.’ I like your sister [Kim],” he said. Ironically enough, Khloé and McCants met through Reggie Bush, Kim’s boyfriend at the time. They would later split in 2010.
The couple dated for seven months between 2008 and 2009. They later broke up because Khloé accused him of cheating on her. However, he shared that there were parts of the split was manufactured for their reality show, Keeping Up with the Kardashians.
He then joked that if he was ever affected by the “Kardashian curse,” which he laughed off, and responded, “I got out. You gotta ask Lamar… Him and Ray J… Ask them.”
In addition to playing for the Timberwolves from 2005 to 2009, McCants played one year with the Sacramento Kings for the remainder of the 2009 season after he was traded. After almost five years in the NBA he would go on to play for the G League and then overseas in Brazil, China, Dominican Republic, Lebanon, Philippines, Puerto Rico, and Venezuela. He then played for the BIG3 League which was founded by rapper Ice Cube. McCants would later retire from from professional basketball in 2018.
While McCants relationship didn’t work out with Khloé, she would then meet Lamar Odom and get married in 2009. They would be legally married for about seven years before it was finalized in December 2016.
McCants has never been married and his relationship status is unclear at this time.
Kim is currently dating F1 driver, Lewis Hamilton, for several months.
