Roman Reigns’ heartfelt gesture to Knicks’ Jalen Brunson goes viral after NBA Finals

We know that Roman Reigns respects Jalen Brunson, and he once again acknowledged him after he led the New York Knicks to an NBA Finals win.

Brunson revealed that Reigns gifted him an autographed Knicks-themed championship belt. He also wrote, “Congrats Champ! We acknowledge you!” on the belt.

This gift must mean a lot to Brunson, who is a WWE superfan. Reigns also congratulated the Knicks after their championship win, saying, “Acknowledge The Champs!” with an index finger pointing up emoji on social media.

Brunson was named NBA Finals MVP after the Knicks beat the San Antonio Spurs in five games. He averaged 32.6 points per game in the series, and his Game 5 performance was the cherry on top.

He scored a series-high 45 points while making more than half of his shots. While he wasn’t always his most efficient self, Brunson was the captain of the team. He still willed the team back from being down by as much as 29 points in Game 4, which they won off a miraculous tip-in by OG Anunoby.

New York had a dominant run to the NBA Finals. After the Atlanta Hawks took them to six games in the first round of the playoffs, the Knicks swept their next two opponents, the Philadelphia 76ers and the Cleveland Cavaliers. Their 13-game win streak was snapped by the Spurs in Game 3 of the NBA Finals.

The championship win capped off Brunson’s fourth year in New York. He has led the Knicks to the postseason in all four of his years with the team. They reached the Eastern Conference Finals in 2025, but they lost to the Indiana Pacers.

During his time with the Knicks, Brunson has been named to three All-Star teams and has received three All-NBA Second Team honors.
