Whilst it is not yet confirmed, Thomas Meunier (34) is expected to leave Lille OSC upon the expiry of his contract at the end of this month. As per a report from Sacha Tavolieri, newly promoted Hull City are interested in signing the Belgium international.
Two years after joining Lille on a free transfer following the expiry of his contract at Trabzonspor, Meunier is set to depart. The full-back has been a key player under Bruno Genesio, whose time at LOSC also came to an end last month.
The former Paris Saint-Germain full-back played 35 games in all competitions last season, scoring twice and registering three assists. However, he is not expected to be retained and a replacement is already being lined up.
Tavolieri now understands that Hull City, who will return to the Premier League for next season, are pushing to sign the right-back. Talks are described as advanced.
