Alarm bells are ringing again for Inter, who don’t seem ready to go above their rejected €20m offer for Udinese defender Oumar Solet, as Atletico Madrid prepare to get involved.
It has been a series of disappointments on the transfer market for the Nerazzurri, who have placed very strict limits on their spending, despite winning the Serie A and Coppa Italia Double.
Marco Palestra was snatched away when Chelsea came in with double their wage offer and €10m more to Atalanta, while they now risk losing another target too.

Confirmation is coming in from Gazzetta dello Sport that Inter have not budged from their €20m bid for Udinese defender Solet.
This was rejected, the Friulani are asking for €25m, but there is no sign of any further improvement in the proposal coming from San Siro.

Instead, Atletico Madrid are hovering around the situation and preparing to step in with a winning offer, just as they did when Inter dragged on the talks with Atalanta for Ademola Lookman in January.
Considering the reports today that Chelsea want €35m for Trevoh Chalobah, who is also a target for Como, then the Nerazzurri might have to go down the list of options to find an affordable defender.
