The 2026 NBA Finals just got much more interesting as we’re back with another prediction and pick for this upcoming Game 4 tilt from Madison Square Garden. The San Antonio Spurs will visit the New York Knicks, New York leading the series 2-1. Check our NBA Finals odds series for the Spurs-Knicks prediction and pick.
Coming into Game 3 as three-point underdogs and needing a win, the San Antonio Spurs came up clutch with a 115-111 win on the road to spoil New York’s Finals homecoming. Game 4 sees the exact same spread as the Knicks are favored to win at home, but Victor Wembanyama and the Spurs managed to break New York’s 13-game winning streak during the NBA Playoffs.
While the Knicks won’t have the historic opportunity to sweep an NBA Finals for the first time, they sit at -500 odds to still hoist the Larry O’Brien trophy and could still do so at home in New York in a potential Game 6.

Keys to Spurs vs. Knicks Matchup
Game 3 of the NBA Finals saw much of a similar story to the two previous Knicks’ wins as San Antonio came out the gates hot. Their largest lead grew to 12 in the first half, but they still entered halftime trailing the Knicks by seven points. From there, we saw a serious gut-check moment from Victor Wembanyama to score in the clutch following his buzzer-beater miss in Game 2. Stephon Castle also had his best showing of the Finals, scoring 23 points and adding five rebounds, five assists, a steal, and a block while raising the energy of the whole team.
Spurs’ Devin Vassell and Julian Champagnie managed a combined 6-11 from three in efficient efforts and also making a difference with their hustle on the defensive end. The Spurs have embraced the role of underdogs during these finals and it showed during Game 3, forcing 32 free-throw attempts for their highest total of the Finals. Look for them to continue aggressively driving the lanes with Wembanyama getting more involved in the pick-and-roll, putting himself in the way of defenders and gaining more confidence in his mid-range pull-up jumper.
For the Knicks, OG Anunoby showed up as the hero alongside Jalen Brunson who scored 12 of his 32 points in the fourth quarter. Anunoby went 9-13 from the field with 28 points, but cause for concern comes behind Mikal Bridges’ two points all game and Karl-Anthony Towns failing to score in the fourth quarter. He went a tough 0-2 from three where he’s typically accurate from Madison Square Garden, so expect a much better showing out of him in Game 4 as he locks in when his team needs him most.
It comes as no surprise to see the Knicks come in the favorites as they’ve been able to control the game flow through much of this series. They’re much more consistent through the middle portions of the game while the Spurs have struggled to remain disciplined down the stretch.
Spurs vs. Knicks Prediction and Pick
This Finals series just got more competitive as the Spurs should gain confidence finally seeing the Knicks fall after 13-straight wins. The simple fact is that Karl-Anthony Towns has yet to score a point in the fourth quarter of the NBA Finals and he may be the most important player for the Knicks during this series.
The Spurs look to have regained their focus after shaky starts in Games 1 and 2 and although they allowed the Knicks to get back into Game 3, I expect them to be much more disciplined with their defense down the stretch and their shot selection as a result. Game 3 saw them take some desperation looks as they still came out on top, look for a much cleaner performance out of them in Game 4.
For our final prediction, we have to roll with the San Antonio Spurs as the momentum seems to have shifted during this series. It’ll be interesting to see how New York responds following their first loss since April 23rd, but it’s still worth to take the underdogs with the value.
Final Spurs-Knicks Game 4 Prediction & Pick: San Antonio Spurs +2.5 (-115); OVER 216.5 (-112)
