The Seattle Mariners are going to see their star catcher Cal Raleigh back in the lineup very soon. Raleigh has been on the Injured List with an oblique injury that he suffered early in the season. He did not start the campaign the way he wanted, coming after a monster 2025 season.
On Tuesday, Raleigh was playing in a rehab game with Triple-A Tacoma and smashed a moonshot home run in the first inning.

Mariners fans are missing that swing.
Raleigh will be back soon and should return to the team when they come back from their road trip. The star catcher began his rehab assignment when the team began the road trip. Mitch Garver has been serving as the primary catcher in Raleigh’s absence, but has not really done well at all, with a .190 average and only two home runs.
Raleigh began to ramp up his play before the placement on the IL. However, his .161 average would be the worst in the league if eligible. He isn’t much of a hitter for average, but he must figure that out. Hopefully, a healthy body gets him there. His seven home runs on the season are respectable in 41 games. The Mariners want to see him be comfortable more than anything.
