The veteran goalie stumbled badly during the first period of Game 4, allowing three goals on 14 shot attempts.
Unsurprisingly, he is getting peppered with criticism on social media. Many are calling for head coach John Tortorella to take action amid a 3-1 deficit.

Hart has elicited copious skepticism despite making valuable contributions in net at various points during the 2026 Stanley Cup Playoffs, and it appears those suspicions have been somewhat validated against the Hurricanes. The 27-year-old Canadian has now surrendered 15 goals in the Final at time of print. In other words, his days as Vegas’ starter could be numbered.
Fortunately for Hart, the Golden Knights have displayed amazing resilience throughout the postseason. No deficit seems safe when this squad is on the ice. Though, the same can be said for the relentless Hurricanes. If Vegas is going to have a shot at pulling off another thrilling comeback, it will need competent goalie play.
