The Carolina Hurricanes took an early lead in Game 4 of the 2026 Stanley Cup Final. Like every other lead in this Final, though, it wasn’t safe. But captain Jordan Staal came to the rescue on Tuesday night. And the Stanley Cup Final is now even at two games apiece.
Staal scored twice in Game 4 to help the Hurricanes earn a 5-3 win. The Hurricanes captain scored a world-class goal in the third period, which served as the game-winner. Veteran forward Nikolaj Ehlers put the contest on ice with a cross-ice empty net goal. This win necessitates a Game 6, which will be hosted by the Golden Knights.
This is a developing story. Updates to follow.
