WWE star Chelsea Green breaks silence on role in ‘incredible’ new horror movie

Having previously expressed her interest in exploring a career in Hollywood, WWE Superstar Chelsea Green dropped major news on her film career. A few months ago, the former WWE Women’s United States Champion revealed that she’s set to shoot a horror film in a few weeks.

Speaking with Candance Cordelia of Pro Wrestling Illustrated, Green opened up in detail about her upcoming role. Now, a couple of months later, Deadline announced that Green is set to star in Red Wedding. Also starring Lauren LaVera and Rory Culkin. Deadline reported that the horror movie has entered production in Birmingham, Alabama. Although it seems that Green has already completed her part of the project.

Recently on social media, reacting to the news, Green broke her silence about her role in the “incredible” new horror film, Red Wedding. “This project was incredible. I learned so much, I grew as a new actress and I feel blessed to have been chosen to work alongside Josh [Stolberg], Lauren [LaVera], Rory [Culkin] and so many other talented humans!!”

Red Wedding is currently the working title of the project and is being directed by Josh Stolberg. The film is being written by Stolberg and Pete Goldfinger. Stolberg is a former writer from the Saw franchise, and has a notable list of writing credits that include Saw X, Jigsaw, and Spiral.

“The film follows a teenager and her stepmother who are kidnapped and taken to a remote location as part of a ransom plot, soon discovering their captors are the least of their worries when a deadly bride and groom arrive and begin picking them off one by one,” Deadline wrote while describing the premise of the film.
