If there is a parade for the New York Knicks, assuming they win a championship at the NBA Finals, superfan Spike Lee doesn’t want to see ICE on the streets of NYC.
Speaking to Andscape, Lee revealed his condition for the parade. He is eager to celebrate with Knicks fans, knowing it’ll be “bananas,” something even the NYPD couldn’t contain, but ICE is a big no-no for him.
Spike Lee has a strict rule for the Knicks' potential championship parade:
"Just don't bring in the motherf***ing ICE. No ICE. I've said this more than once, ICE is not welcome."

“Whether it’s at home or away, it’s gonna be bananas. It’s gonna be craziness, it’s gonna be love, and NYPD can’t control that, the Marines, National Guard, just don’t bring in the motherf***ing ICE,” he emphatically said about a potential parade. “No ICE. I’ve said this more than once, ICE is not welcome.”
Spike Lee’s Knicks are two wins away from their first championship in 53 years

While the Knicks just lost Game 3 to the San Antonio Spurs, they are still just two wins away from the franchise’s first championship since 1973. It has been a long time coming, and longtime fans like Lee can smell how close it is.
They will, however, need to win at least one more game in San Antonio. Because the Spurs won Game 3, avoiding a 3-0 deficit in the series, Game 5 will be necessary. The Knicks were able to win the first two games of the series in San Antonio, so their fans are likely hoping for the same luck in Game 5. Before that, they will need to win Game 4 in front of their home crowd.
Lee has been a longtime fan of the Knicks. He was attending games the last time they were in the NBA Finals in 1999. Ironically, they also played the Spurs in that series, losing in five games. This was the first of five championships as the head coach of the Spurs.
