It’s been a crazy month, as WWE’s Chelsea Green returned from an ankle injury and underwent SVT heart surgery, but she got through it.
She took to Instagram to reflect on her last month. Green posted a carousel of images and videos from the last month, and she revealed that she even shot a horror movie while on hiatus.
“In one month I came back from a broken ankle, travelled around Europe, filmed a horror movie and had heart surgery. Life is wild. I’m so lucky. Here are pictures from Paris & Barcelona & Bologna,” she wrote along with the two pink hearts emoji.
When did Chelsea Green return to WWE from her ankle injury and heart surgery?

Green’s first match back from her injury took place during the May 29, 2026, edition of Friday Night SmackDown. This came nearly four months after she suffered an ankle injury during an Elimination Chamber-qualifying match against Tiffany Stratton and Lash Legend.
In her first match back, she defeated Nia Jax. The following week, she faced Legend in a losing effort. She then lost her third match back a few nights later on Monday Night RAW in a first-round fatal four-way Queen of the Ring match against Liv Morgan (the winner), Alexa Bliss, and Becky Lynch.
There are hints of a potential babyface turn for Green, who has spent most of her main roster run as a heel. She’s been trying to get on Stratton’s good side, to no avail.
During her career, Green has won several championships. She became the inaugural Women’s United States Champion in December 2024, and she has won the belt twice. Additionally, she is a former Women’s Tag Team Champion. Her reign began with Sonya Deville. Piper Niven would eventually take her place after Deville suffered an injury and was later released.
