Why Bernard King expects a bounce back Knicks win in Game 4 vs. Spurs

The New York Knicks are still up 2-1 in the NBA Finals against the San Antonio Spurs after losing a close in Game 3 at home. The good news is that the Knicks have a chance to get a win at home in Game 4, and they should also know what they need to do in order to take a 3-1 lead.

Knicks legend Bernard King was recently on NBA on ESPN, and he was confident that the Knicks would come out in Game 4 and play well.

“This is a pivotal game because the next game is going to be on the road,” King said. “This game has to be won tonight. I expect this team to step up tonight and play well. They’ll push the ball up the floor, which is something they didn’t do much as they should have in the last ball game. We have to handle the pressure of the defense tonight, and that’s going to be so key so we don’t commit too many turnovers.”

The Knicks were not as sharp on offense as they were in the first two games, especially down the stretch. It was also the defense that took a step back, and Victor Wembanyama had his best game of the series in that one.

There’s no reason why the Knicks should be panicking, and with them still having the advantage and being at home, this is a good spot for them to be in. Mike Brown also has to put the players in the best position to succeed, and he shared before Game 4 what they have to do.

“You’re just telling guys the truth,” Brown said via the SNY Knicks X account. “Doesn’t matter if it’s Jalen, [Karl-Anthony Towns], [OG Anunoby], [Mikal Bridges], we’ll show them what we feel we need to show them on film. And then, we’ll walk through certain things to make sure that the spacing is right, the timing is right.
