Jeremy Lin is offering new details about a rumor that followed him during the height of “Linsanity.”
Speaking on Pablo Torre Finds Out, the former New York Knicks guard addressed long-running speculation that he and Kim Kardashian were romantically linked during his breakout run in 2012, AOL reports.
Lin recalled seeing headlines suggesting Kardashian wanted to date him, but said he never understood where the reports came from. During the interview, Torre played an old clip in which Lin laughed off the gossip and said he had no connection to the reality television star.
Lin Explains What He Was Told
While Lin stressed that he cannot confirm the story, he shared what he later heard about the situation.
According to Lin, a request allegedly reached the Knicks from Kardashian’s team while she was filming one of her television projects. He said he was told producers wanted a New York-based athlete to appear on the show.
During the Linsanity run, Kim Kardashian reportedly requested access to Jeremy Lin — but Lin now recalls the Knicks "immediately declined":

However, Lin claimed the organization never presented the opportunity to him.
Instead, he said team officials supposedly rejected the request immediately because they wanted to shield their young star from distractions as his popularity exploded across the country.
Lin repeatedly noted that this account came from others and that he cannot verify whether it actually happened.
Torre added that the Knicks closely controlled access to Lin during the frenzy surrounding his rise, which matched the explanation Lin received years later.
