Superfan Michelle Beadle unloads on ‘shameful’ De’Aaron Fox, San Antonio for Game 4 choke

The San Antonio Spurs are experiencing excruciating pain after blowing a 29-point lead to the New York Knicks in Game 4 of the NBA Finals. It was the largest point loss in NBA Finals history as the Knicks were up 3-1.

Broadcaster and longtime Spurs fan Michelle Beadle is emphatically calling out one De’Aaron Fox for being partly responsible for the massive loss.

“How are you up 29 points and you lose in that building to those fans and that owner? Shameful! It was shameful. And De’Aaron Fox… you were the worst person on the floor last night.”

Fox’s 4th quarter struggles in the final 12 seconds will be documented for posterity. He got the ball in those final seconds and as he was going for a layup. Then, he was blocked from behind by OG Anunoby. Ironcially, it was Anunoby who was the hero of the game with his unbelivable put back that put the Knicks ahead.

Fox was criticized for going for the layup instead of holding onto the ball with a one point lead. He also turned the ball over four times just as the Knicks were engineering the historic comeback.

He also missed crucial shots down the stretch.

If the Spurs lose the series, certainly Fox will be part to blame, whether fairly or unfairly. After a convincing win in Game 3, the Spurs seemed poised to gain control of the series. Now they are on their heels, even though the series is heading back to San Antonio for Game 5 on Saturday.
