Brawl Stars Bolt Guide – Attacks & Stats Per Level
Bolt’s Main Attack, Battle Bumper, is not a projectile of any sort. Instead, Bolt deals damage by making contact with enemies. Furthermore, the more he without obstruction, the faster he goes. And the faster he goes, the more damage he deals. This does not use ammo, but Bolt does possess two ammo. He can use this main attack to double his damage and provides him with speed. Essentially, the faster Bolt moves, the more damage he deals but more difficult he becomes to steer.
Bolt’s Super, Overdrive, instantly fills up his speed bar and grants him a shield for damage reduction. Additionally, he leaves behind a trail of lightning as he moves. Enemies who touch the lightning get set on fire and receive damage.
Lastly, Bolt possesses TWO traits instead of one which impact his gameplay:
- Charges Super while moving
- Movement Speed increases while moving
Additionally, take a look at Bolt’s stats (These are Bolt’s stats as of June, 2026. All Stats are subject to changes and may not be reflected here):
| POWER LEVEL | HEALTH | Main Attack Damage: Mininum → Maximum | Super Damage (Per Second) |
| 1 | 5400 | 540 → 900 | 550 |
| 2 | 5940 | 594 → 990 | 605 |
| 3 | 6480 | 648 → 1080 | 660 |
| 4 | 7020 | 702 → 1170 | 715 |

| 7 | 8640 | 864 → 1440 | 880 |
| 8 | 9180 | 918 → 1530 | 935 |
| 9 | 9720 | 972 → 1620 | 990 |
| 10 | 10260 | 1026 → 1710 | 1045 |
| 11 | 10800 | 1080 → 1800 | 1100 |
Brawl Stars Bolt Guide – Which Star Powers & Gadgets are the best?
Overall, Bolt has two gadgets:
- Oil Change – “Bolt gains a health shield based on his current speed.”
- Bouncy Ball – “Bolt jumps to a target location and deals area damage. Breaks environments but loses all speed when landing.”
Additionally, Bolt has two Star Powers:
- Toss Up – “Bolt will knock all enemies upwards when he’s at full speed.”
- Unstoppaball – “Bolt is immune to crowd control and gains extra top speed during his Super.”
Furthermore, Bolt can use the following gears in battle:
- Speed
- Vision
- Health
- Shield
- Damage
- Gadget Cooldown
Brawl Stars Bolt Guide – Recommended Star Power, Gadget, & Gear Setup
For Gadgets, we recommend Oil Change for its shield properties. Bolt has aa lot of HP, but since he needs to make contact with enemies to damage them, he needs all the health he can get. Bouncy Ball is good for escaping enemies, but it takes away his top speed, and destroying an environment may just leave him open to attack. Oil Change seems like the better fit at launch.
For Star Powers, we recommend Unstoppaball because it doesn’t require you to reach top speed in order to use. It keeps Bolt immune from crowd control while also giving him extra speed during his Super. This will help him catch up to enemies and take them down while reaching for the objective.
For Gears, we prefer a Shield and Damage Gear. Bolt needs to deal a bit more damage, especially when in a pinch. Furthermore, you may as well make him harder to take down with a Shield Gear, which works well with his Oil Change Gadget.
Brawl Stars – Which Modes Should You Use Bolt In (And Which Modes You Shouldn’t)
Brawl Ball
Bolt’s ability to move quickly and his high HP make him a great brawler for Brawl Ball. He can move around the map quickly, damage enemies while he moves, and destroy environments with Bouncy Ball. Conversely, he may use Oil Change to help keep himself alive as he pushes the ball into the goal. Overall, his tankiness and speed make him a great choice.
Gem Grab
Bolt’s quickness makes him a nightmare in Gem Grab. He can quickly swoop in and steal all the gems while using his acceleration to go back to safety. Again, Bouncy Ball may work well here if he needs to escape. But Oil Change also provides him with more ways to stay alive.
Brawl Stars Bolt Guide – What Mode(s) Should I NOT Use Bolt In?
Heist
Bolt’s main attack is a bit too awkward to use for Heist. More importantly, his DPS isn’t high enough for him to deal considerable damage. On the upside, he can travel to the safe in quick speed. But what he does when he gets there won’t be all that exciting.
Bounty/Knockout/Wipeout
Despite his speed, Bolt won’t stand a good chance against long-range brawlers like Piper or Mandy. Many of these brawlers have methods of slowing him down, effectively ruining his main attack. There’s definitely better brawlers to choose from for this mode.
