Donald Trump praises ‘superstar’ Jalen Brunson after Knicks historic win

President Donald Trump had nothing but praise for “superstar” Jalen Brunson for aiding in bringing the New York Knicks an NBA championship.

Trump shared his congratulatory message on Truth Social to the Knicks after they beat the San Antonio Spurs 94-90 in Game 5 of the NBA Finals.

“Congratulations to Jim Dolan and the New York Knicks!!! What a year it has been but, even more so, what incredible playoff wins we have all witnessed, especially the last four – Maybe the greatest in the history of basketball,” Trump wrote in a post on Truth Social via Fox News.

“Also, tonight, a superstar was born. His name is Jalen Brunson, and there are others, including, Karl-Anthony Towns, OG Anunoby, and great Patriot, Mitchell Robinson!”

Trump attended Game 3 of the NBA Finals, where he was met with boos from the crowd. He later spoke on the reaction from Knicks fans.

“I thought it was great. I mean, I thought it was amazing, actually. You mean when they had the camera on me? I thought it was very good,” Trump said following his appearance at Madison Square Garden.

“It was certainly amazing. It was, it was, I think, mostly cheers. It was loud, and it was very enthusiastic.”

Next up for the Knicks is the parade in New York City on June 18 so that the team can celebrate with their fans.
