Actress Jennifer Lopez is a die-hard New York Knicks fan. She loved seeing the Knicks win the NBA championship on Saturday night. Lopez released a video to her social media account showing her joy the minute New York won.
“Congratulations to the New York Knickerbockers, NBA Champions!!!!!” Lopez posted to X, formerly Twitter, with the video.

Lopez then shared a message about the last time the Knicks were in the Finals. That happened way back in 1999, and the team lost that year to the San Antonio Spurs.
“I remember the last time the Knicks were making a run for the championship and rushing home every game day from the set to watch Ewing, Starks and Oakley make a hell of a run,” she wrote.
New York defeated the Spurs in five games in this year’s championship. After the game, thousands of Knicks fans took to the city’s streets to celebrate. Some New Yorkers performed for fans, while others created gifts to give out as a special memento.
The Knicks last won a title in 1973. Lopez is one of several famous Knicks fans. Others include actors Timothee Chalamet and Ben Stiller, who attended nearly all the team’s games.
“Thank you for uniting our city again…for uniting the world. You restored faith, hope and belief in that there’s nothing we can’t do!!” Lopez added.
New York City will have a parade for the Knicks on Thursday, the city’s mayor Zohran Mamdani announced. Knicks fans gathered on Sunday to welcome the team back to New York, after they arrived from San Antonio.
Time will tell if Lopez will be there at the parade to cheer on her team.
