UFC legend Daniel Cormier’s deleted post about Eric Trump’s ‘rigged’ DM goes viral

A wild Sunday in Washington, D.C., just got a whole lot weirder. Before the historic UFC Freedom 250 card even kicked off on the South Lawn of the White House, a massive controversy exploded online involving UFC Hall of Famer Daniel Cormier and Eric Trump.

In a shocking X post that he quickly deleted, the legendary Daniel Cormier shared screenshots of direct messages allegedly sent by Donald Trump’s second son. In the viral images, Trump seems to fish for insider information. The conversation starts casually, but Trump quickly asks about fighter injuries.

Cormier pushes back, noting his casting role prohibits him from betting. Trump then explicitly asks, “Are any of the fights tomorrow rigged? I’ve been eyeing the Lopes fight, and I think an upset wouldn’t be too unrealistic. $$”.

Cormier slammed the overture in his caption, writing that he refused to stay silent on “insider behavior.” He deleted the post 15 minutes later, following up with a cryptic, “Are people really this dumb?”

Eric Trump quickly fired back, calling the screenshots completely fake and AI-generated. “I have never reached out to Daniel,” Trump posted. “In fact, this is scary.”

Ironically, the fight Trump allegedly inquired about did not end in an upset. In the opening bout of the evening, Brazilian featherweight Diego Lopes dominated Steve Garcia, securing a devastating second-round knockout. Lopes showed out, landing 24 of his 66 significant strikes with 36.4% accuracy, completely shutting down Garcia’s 47 landed strikes.

In another major highlight of the night, star prospect Bo Nickal stayed perfect. Nickal absolutely dismantled Kyle Daukaus, landing 44 of 53 total strikes with an incredible 83% accuracy to secure a brutal TKO victory.

Fake news or a massive slip-up? MMA fans will be debating this one for a long time.
