You’ll be able to find Mitchell Robinson easily during Thursday’s parade

The New York Knicks’ championship parade is scheduled for Thursday following their Game 5 win in the NBA Finals against the San Antonio Spurs, and it won’t be hard to find big man Mitchell Robinson as his custom truck will make an appearance, as per SNY Knicks.

“I just got asked to put my truck in it so I’m gonna be really excited,” Robinson acknowledged following the Game 5 win. “I’m putting my truck in the parade so I’m just ready to see what it’s like.”

Mitchell Robinson’s custom monster truck has become a thing of legends amongst Knicks’ fans, so it only seems right that it would make an appearance to celebrate the franchise’s first championship in over 50 years. As for Robinson himself, he played a crucial role on the court during the team’s run to the championship.

Across 18 playoff games this year, Robinson averaged 4.8 points and 5.5 rebounds as the team’s backup center while shooting a playoff career-high 67.3 percent from the field. While his stats may seem modest, Knicks head coach Mike Brown gave a ton of credit to Robinson for his defense against Spurs star Victor Wembanyama.

And in the clinching Game 5, Robinson came up with one of the biggest plays of the game, an offensive rebound off a missed free-throw to help seal the win.

But after the fanfare dies down and the parade is over, Robinson will turn his attention to what’s expected to be an important offseason. The former first round pick will enter unrestricted free agency with plenty of interested teams ready to pursue.
