The Dallas Wings added an adorable touch to their game-day arrival Monday night, bringing dogs from Dallas Animal Services to College Park Center ahead of their matchup with the Las Vegas Aces.
A social media post shared by the WNBA and reposted by ClutchPoints on X, formerly Twitter, showed Paige Bueckers and other Wings players spending time with the shelter dogs before the game. The appearance highlighted Dallas Animal Services and came before a key Western Conference matchup between two teams playing some of their best basketball of the season.

Dallas entered the contest at 8-5 overall and 4-3 in Western Conference play. The Wings have been one of the league’s hottest teams recently, posting a 7-3 record over their last 10 games while averaging 87.3 points per contest.
Jessica Shepard has also anchored Dallas’ frontcourt, averaging 13.6 points, 11.3 rebounds and 5.5 assists. She leads the Wings on the glass, with Dallas ranking fourth in the Western Conference at 24.8 defensive rebounds per game.
Bueckers has been a major part of that success. The rookie guard has averaged 17.5 points over her last 10 games and helped establish Dallas as a contender in the Western Conference. The Wings defeated the Aces 95-87 in the teams’ first meeting on May 29, with Azzi Fudd scoring 22 points in the win.
Las Vegas arrived in Arlington riding a six-game winning streak after ending the Minnesota Lynx’s eight-game run with a 100-97 win Saturday. The defending champions entered the game at 10-3 overall and were led by reigning MVP A’ja Wilson, who was averaging 26.2 points, 9.3 rebounds and 2.4 blocks per game.
The teams were set to tip-off at 7 p.m. CT.
