Fever’s Kelsey Mitchell opens up on ‘boneheaded mistakes’ amid win streak

Kelsey Mitchell didn’t hold back on her mistakes despite the Indiana Fever’s ongoing win streak at this point of the 2026 WNBA season.

Mitchell is going through the ninth year of her career with the Fever. She stands tall as one of the best scorers in the league, helping Indiana be firm in playoff contention.

Indiana started the campaign with ups and downs, being in the middle of the pack within the standings. However, they have picked up the pace with consecutive wins as they make their way up the ranks.

Mitchell spoke with media on Monday ahead of Indiana’s contest on Tuesday. While praising her team throughout the win streak, she was critical of her errors as she seeks to improve her level of play.

“I’ve had some bonehead mistakes … I think I dropped the ball to make it 98-98 (against the Sky), so you don’t want to have those. You don’t want to be that person … that’s not doing what they need to do. … I just want to be a little sharper,” Mitchell said, via reporter James Boyd.
