Yankees star Jasson Dominguez’s status vs. White Sox in question after having tooth pulled

The New York Yankees are currently gearing up for a home series against the suddenly surging Chicago White Sox beginning on Tuesday evening. The Yankees are playing some solid baseball over the last few weeks despite the prolonged injury absences of superstar Aaron Judge and others.

On Tuesday, the team got a concerning injury update regarding outfielder Jasson Dominguez.

“Aaron Boone tells us Jasson Dominguez had a tooth pulled today. No decision has been made on whether he will start tonight,” reported Talkin’ Yanks on X, formerly Twitter.

Dominguez has missed time with a different injury earlier this season and is a crucial part of the Yankees’ hitting order, especially now that Judge is out of the lineup for a prolonged period of time due to a ribcage injury. However, the good news is that even if Dominguez does miss Tuesday’s game, this doesn’t seem to be a long-term issue.

The Yankees are hoping that 2026 is the year they will finally be able to break their World Series curse, which has been in place since they last won the pennant back in the 2009 season. They may never have a better chance to get another title than they do this year, thanks in large part to the overall ineptitude of the AL. The Yankees currently sit with the best record in the league at 43-27, 1.5 games ahead of the Tampa Bay Rays, who are in second place in both the AL overall and the AL West division.

In any case, the Yankees will hope that Dominguez is able to appear when they get their series against the White Sox underway on Tuesday at 7:05 pm ET from Yankee Stadium.
