The Indiana Fever are taking on the Toronto Tempo on Tuesday, with the goal of extending their win streak to four. However, things took a turn during the contest when Caitlin Clark’s teammate, Myisha Hines-Allen, took a shot to the face while attempting a shot in the post that left her bleeding.
Hines-Allen, who is 31-years-old, was accidentally hit by her opponent while going up for a left-handed shot. She immediately grabbed her face after getting a bloody nose from the hit.

Luckily, it wasn’t a serious injury, however, as Myisha Hines-Allen returned not too long after. She was not wearing any protective masks or other gear, and seems to be just fine.

The nine-year veteran signed with the Fever on a one-year, $315,000 contract. Hines-Allen plays more of a reserve role, having started just two out of her 13 games this season. She entered Tuesday’s contest against the Tempo, averaging 4.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per contest while shooting 50.0% from the floor and 22.2% from beyond the three-point line.
While Hines-Allen bounces back from the injury scare, it’s been a struggle for Caitlin Clark to score against the Tempo. Although she has scored 14 points, Clark owns a measily 23.0% field goal percentage while failing to convert any of her seven three-point attempts. Eight of her 14 points came from the free-throw line, but Clark did record 13 assists (Stats were provided at about the six-minute mark of the game and are subject to potentially change).
After the game against the Tempo, we’ll see the Fever back in action again on Thursday. Indiana is scheduled to face off against the Atlanta Dream on June 18 for another Caitlin Clark-Angel Reese matchup.
