LeBron James gets hilarious shoutout at Le Mans from Pascal Siakam

LeBron James traveled to France to witness a French auto racing tradition: the 24 Hours of Le Mans. He had previously attended the race in 2023 alongside Tom Brady.

While at the “Le Monster”, James waved the ceremonial French Flag and gave the command to start the race,  “Pilotes, demarrez vos moteurs,” per Fox Sports.

Also, James got an unexpected call from NBA player Pascal Siakam on social media. Under the caption “Shoutout LeBron, one time,” Siakam made sure to tell James to “enjoy it while it lasts, man”.

He also said, “My last one right there, boy, we ain’t coming back, respectfully”.

The 24 Hours of Le Mans has existed since 1923. It is the oldest active endurance auto race in the world. The No. 7 Toyota GR010 Hybrid race team, driven by Kamui Kobayashi, Mike Conway, and Nyck de Vries, won the race.

Siakam plays for the Indiana Pacers and is coming off an All-Star-laden season. He finished the season averaging 24.0 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 3.4 assists per game. Siakam also shot 48.4% from the field. However, he didn’t play in the All-Star Game in February in Los Angeles due to personal reasons.

Last year, Siakam served as the pace-car driver for NASCAR’s Brickyard 400 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. This year, he was the Grand Marshall for the Indianapolis 500.

James is coming off a season in which the Lakers were eliminated in the Western Conference Semifinals by the Oklahoma City Thunder in a four-game sweep. James completed his 23rd season in the NBA. Despite never-ending speculation, there is no impending retirement.
