Catalina Mancera, girlfriend of the late Marshawn Kneeland, has given birth seven months after the Dallas Cowboys defensive end died.
Mancera shared a post on Instagram of the newborn, writing in the caption, “My favorite gift from you,” she wrote.
In the carousel post, she shared a Polaroid image of the newborn, another of the baby holding her thumb, a photo of their son in a Kneeland onesie honoring his father, and lastly a video of Mancera showing the late NFL star a pregnancy stick.
Last month, Mancera was surrounded by her friends and family who honored her for her baby shower. She shared several photos from the event on Instagram and wrote a thoughtful caption on how she felt.
“Words can’t explain how thankful I am for the people God has placed in my life,” Mancera wrote. “In such a hard season, the love and support surrounding me has made everything feel a little brighter. I’m so grateful for everyone who came out to celebrate me and baby, and even those who couldn’t make it but still showed love from afar. I also want to thank my family for throwing me such a beautiful shower in Michigan. I want to thank both of our families for all the love they’ve poured into me during this time. I’ll never forget the kindness, prayers, and support that have carried me through all of this.”
Kneeland died of an apparent suicide following a brief police chase back in November 2025.
Mancera confirmed her pregnancy by sharing sonogram images a month after his passing. She wrote a heartfelt message on what she pictured life would be with their baby.
“My sweet baby, I dreamed of you long before I ever knew you,” Mancera wrote. “I dreamed of building a family, of the life your dad and I talked about and imagined together. I’m so excited for you, but my heart still aches. It aches for the moments I won’t get to share with him, and for the love I wish you could experience the way I did.”
