Caitlin Clark ties her own Fever record with passing wizardry vs. Tempo

The Indiana Fever are working hard to silence their doubters during the month of June. Indiana is now 9-5 on the season and riding a four-game winning streak after blowing out Toronto on Tuesday night. One Fever player tied her personal best during the team’s latest dominant victory.

Caitlin Clark played out of her mind during the first half against the Tempo. Clark tied her own Fever franchise record with nine assists during the first half, per espnW.

Clark finished the game with 21 points, 14 assists, five rebounds, and one block in her 32 minutes on the court. She continued to press her style as an aggressive passer throughout the game, pulling off a few impressive behind-the-back passes. However, she did not connect every time, ending the game with a total of six turnovers.

Head coach Stephanie White praised Clark for being able to consistently find her teammates during the blowout victory.

“She did a great job of finding her teammates,” White said after the game, per The Athletic’s James Boyd. “Again, her pace, you can tell she’s got her burst back. She does a good job of forcing the action in the ball screen and really creates 2 on 1 opportunities.”

Clark was hardly the only Fever player who had a great game against the Tempo.

Aliyah Boston posted a double-double with 18 points, 11 rebounds, four assists, two steals, and two blocks. Kelsey Mitchell led Indiana in scoring with 27 points while going 3-of-4 from behind the 3-point line.

Sophie Cunningham also continued her hot streak after her dazzling finish against Connecticut. She scored 24 points off the bench, including a whopping six 3-pointers.

Next up for Clark and the Fever is a home game against Angel Reese and the Dream. That game tips off at 7:30PM ET on June 18th from Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
