After holding a similar Jalen Brunson lookalike contest in 2025, another one will be held to celebrate the New York Knicks’ 2026 NBA Finals MVP with a cash prize of $5,000.
Flyers have been spotted around New York City to promote the contest. The first-place finisher will win $5,000, but there will be other prizes as well.

It does appear that the contest is sponsored by Polymarket. The company’s logo is featured at the top of the flyer. Polymarket is a crypto-based prediction market.
When and where is the Jalen Brunson lookalike contest taking place?

The lookalike contest will be held on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at 6 pm EST in Washington Square Park. This is a great way for fans to get in the spirit of celebration ahead of the parade on June 18.
Brunson was just named NBA Finals MVP for his performance in the series. In the five-game stretch, he averaged 32.6 points per game.
Perhaps he was put over the top of other teammates like Karl-Anthony Towns (who showed out in Games 1 and 2) or OG Anunoby (who scored the game-winning basket in Game 4) because of his performance in Game 5.
He scored 45 points in the Knicks’ Game 5 win, which ultimately put the series against the San Antonio Spurs away. Brunson made over half of his shots for the first time in the Finals.
Brunson is the Knicks’ captain. He ended his fourth season with the team by winning the franchise’s first championship in 53 years.
Since joining the Knicks, he has been a three-time NBA All-Star. Additionally, he has made the All-NBA Second Team three times in that stretch as well, from 2024 to 2026.
It’s easy to forget that a few months earlier, the Knicks beat the Spurs in the NBA Cup. Brunson was also the MVP of that game, scoring 25 points and logging eight assists in that contest.
