Without further ado, here are the biggest details coming to College Football 27 Dynasty this year.

College Football 27 Dynasty Mode Details – Everything You Need to Know

Overall, the biggest additions to College Football 27’s Dynasty Mode this year are:

  • New Athletic Director Expectations/Interactions
  • Overhauled Team Management – Coaching Staff, Facilities, NIL
  • An All-New Coach Mode, Coach Abilities, & More
  • Gameplay Updates – Wear & Tear, Dynamic Weather
  • Miscellaneous – Heisman, College Football Playoff/History

Athletic Director Expectations

College Football 27’s Dynasty experience begins like any other. Create a Coach, edit your settings, and start the mode. But once you pick your college, you’ll instantly be tasked with some expectations from the school’s Athletic Director.

For example, if you Coach for Ohio State, you’re expected to beat Michigan by at least 3+ points. Additionally, you need to make it to the National Championship game at least once in the next seven years. Furthermore, you’ll need to reach a top 5 rank before the season’s end.

Of course, not every team’s expectations will be so strict. Ohio State is a powerful team that has a great roster with good My School Grades that make it easier to get great recruits. But all of these expectations (which are unique for each team) should pose a challenge as you progress through the year.

You don’t necessarily need to complete each goal depending on the leniency of your Director and the impact of missing the goal. Each expectation has both a positive and negative impact rating that shows how you’ll be affected when you complete or fail it. The game also provides you with a meter that displays how safe you are in your position.

Interestingly, not all expectations remain static. As you build your program, your AD’s expectations may become bigger. If you manage to turn a school like North Texas into a serious contender, then your AD may want to see you win it all in the future.

Once you find a school with AD expectations you want to achieve, it’s time to manage your school. That’s where the Dynasty Blueprint comes in.

The Dynasty Blueprint – Managing Coaching Staff, Facilities, & NIL

Essentially, the Dynasty Blueprint encapsulates all things team and school management. From your Coaching Staff, to the Facilities, to NIL and more, your Dynasty Blueprint is vital to building your team.

At the core of your Blueprint are your Dynasty Points. This is essentially your budget for the year, which refreshes every season as you focus on different things. The amount of points you start with/earn depends on various factors. Your conference prestige, brand exposure, stadium atmosphere, and program traditions all play a role in how much DP you earn.

Additionally, you can also earn DP by completing goals, such as making the playoffs, winning your conference, and more. All sorts of accomplishments help you earn more Dynasty Points to build your program with. Furthermore, your Athletic Director may even reward you with Dynasty Points if you meet their expectations.

These points do not roll over, so take full advantage of your budget while you can. Each season, your budget refreshes, with payouts from your AD and accomplishments being added during the refresh.

You’ll need to manage your budget throughout the preseason, regular season, Bowl Season, and offseason. You’ll need to hire good staff members, who are locked with you for the whole year. Once the season begins, you need to work on recruiting while also placing some focus on equipment and NIL along the way. Once you reach the Bowl Season, the focus turns to coaching staff, where you manage your coordinators.

And once the offseason begins, your budget refreshes at what is called the End of Season Recap. This is where you receive those payouts from your AD and accomplishments to spend on new recruits, facility management, and staff.

Speaking of Staff, College Football 27 Dynasty features a Support Staff mechanic that provides positive benefits for your team. These staff members can only be hired/fired during the preseason. Furthermore, the amount you can have is based on your Team Prestige. But having a good support staff is worth it, as they can:

  • Decrease Dynasty Point Costs of hiring other support staff
  • Reduce Player NIL Expectations
  • Increase weekly recruiting hours & offseason player progression
  • Increase Dynasty Point fundraising during annual budget refresh

Overall, there are four tiers of support staff members: Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum. Higher ranking members cost more Dynasty Points, but also provide stronger benefits.

But perhaps you also want to focus Dynasty Points on a Coordinator. Hiring a coordinator now costs Dynasty Points, with each coordinator possessing expected values based on coach level and team prestige.

Players have access to tons of coaches who can become coordinators. Not every coach will be available depending on your school’s grades. However, there will be a large pool of coaches to choose from each season.

Making an offer for a coach is as simple as offering Dynasty Points. You may make up to six offers at a time for each type of coordinator (12 overall). But if you somehow don’t end up getting a new coordinator, one will be provided for you automatically. And if you don’t want to spend any DP, free agent coaches cost nothing, though they provide very weak benefits.

Your Dynasty Points are also necessary for managing team facilities. These buildings make a huge difference in developing and attracting star players. However, they also require DP to maintain, with higher tier facilities requiring more.

Overall, the five facility tiers include:

Facility Tier Grade Equipment Slots
Basic Facility F 1
Competitive Facility D- to D+ 2
Premier Facility C- to C+ 3
Elite Facility B- to B+ 4
National Powerhouse A- to A+ 5

At the End of Season Recap, you have the option to upgrade or downgrade your Facility. Like support staff and coordinators, better facilities require more Dynasty Points to maintain. Additionally, it affects how many equipment slots you have.

Equipment is essentially another way of improving your school, providing benefits like:

  • Increasing Athletic Facility Grade (within current facility range)
  • Increasing duration of equipment effects
  • Reduce Wear & Tear, Season Health Usage, & practice injury chance

The last thing Dynasty Points and the Blueprint affect is NIL.

Every prospect in CFB 27 Dynasty possesses their own expected NIL amount. The amount is also relative to your school, meaning players may expect more or less from other programs.

NIL factors depend for what type of player its being used for. For example:

  • Recruit expected NIL is driven by start rating, position, dealbreaker, and Team Prestige
  • Roster player expected NIL – driven by overall rating, position, school year, awards won, dealbreaker, team prestige and your past offers.

Additionally, some players also care about things like Brand Exposure, and player expectations change throughout the year.

When you’re recruiting NIL, there’s a few things you’ll want to keep in mind. Firstly, CFB 27 removed scholarship offers during the preseason. That’s because this phase is now fully focused on scouting. When you do offer a scholarship, it now includes NIL, and you’ll see their expected NIL against your offer.

But you also must be careful when making an offer. Offering a low NIL won’t offer you much help in trying to recruit them. But offering too much requires a lot and affects the way they think. They’ll be expecting that same level of treatment when the next season comes around.

Overall, you need to offer the right amount, which you can adjust each week. Furthermore, keep in mind that NIL applies to transfers, and Roster NIL helps you keep players in your program. You can track your recruiting NIL throughout the year to see how much you offered over time. And at the End of Season Recap, you can adjust your Roster NIL to increase or decrease how much you use.

Obviously, offering low NIL may cause a risk of certain players leaving. Fortunately, you’ll be able to track your Roster NIL as well to keep up to date with your spending habits.

If all of this sounds intimidating, don’t worry. You can use one of the game’s Blueprint Strategies or auto settings to help you manage it all. You can still always adjust and change the settings as you go, so you can always change how much level of attention you want to put into these features.

Coach Abilities & Coach Mode

The next big area of focus was the addition of two new coach archetypes, each with four exclusive abilities. The brand new archetypes include:

  • Visionary – Focuses on Player Development, weekly preparation, pro potential, and long term career growth
    • Pro Pipeline: Increases the pro draft stock of players on your roster
    • Practice Makes Perfect: Increases player progression from weekly practice
    • Hot Start: Increases the chance of players starting hot from weekly practice
    • Signing Bonus: Increases the annual Coach Point payout you receive from your school
  • Rainmaker – Focuses on NIL, Dynasty Points, and gaining resources
    • Dealmaker: Increases recruiting influence from NIL offers
    • Budget Booster: Increases the Dynasty Points earned from My School grades during the annual budget refresh
    • Stay Power: Increases the impact of NIL offers when reducing a player’s risk of leaving during roster NIL management
    • Contract Incentives: Increases the Dynasty Points earned from completed AD Expectation goals

However, the Rainmaker archetype for MVP+ Members. Keep that in mind before beginning to start your Dynasty. Additionally, EA Sports rebalanced ability costs, so expect some things to be priced differently this year.

Another big change is the addition of Coach Mode. As the name suggests, this allows you to control your team from the sidelines. Determine the pre-play cut-off, and decide whether or not you want to sit back and watch or take part in the action.

College Football 27 Dynasty Gameplay Changes

There are some big changes coming to the CFB 27 Dynasty Gameplay experience. These changes affect the entire game, so keep them in mind when starting a new career.

Dynamic Weather adds changing weather patterns to the game. What may start off as a light snow may become a mini snow bowl by the end of the game. Essentially, you need to be prepared for any weather condition thrown your way.

Wear & Tear obviously returns, and you’ll need to manage it as the year goes on. Do you assign a full practice plan for a player? Or do you give them a lighter workload to ensure their health for gameday. Overall, Wear & Tear remains relatively the same but with a reworked practice system that makes it much more easier to manage.

Miscellaneous Improvements

Lastly, CFB 27 adds other interesting improvements to Dynasty. You can now:
